Privacy Policy

Our privacy policy and how we use your data

Last updated: 21 April 2026. This page covers data collected via driver recruitment campaigns under the Rovvo brand operated by Akson. Other Akson services (Spitex, Ballee) have separate policies at their respective domains.

1. Who we are

Rovvo is a driver recruitment service operated by Akson, based in Switzerland. When you respond to a Rovvo ad, our systems collect the information you provide and contact you about driver opportunities in your city. If you have any question about this policy, email privacy@akson.ch.

2. What we collect

  • Your name, phone number, email, and the city you applied for
  • The ad you clicked and the timestamp of your application
  • Messages you exchange with our WhatsApp assistant or by email
  • The consent choices you made (marketing vs service-only) and when you made them

3. How we contact you after you apply

When you submit a driver application, we store your contact details and your consent choices. We contact you through two channels, with separate consent rules:

Email — part of your application

We email you updates about your application status and driver opportunities in your city. This is part of the service you requested when you submitted the form. Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom; one click removes you from all future emails within 24 hours.

WhatsApp — only if you opted in

If you selected “Yes, send me WhatsApp updates from Rovvo” on the application form, we may message you on WhatsApp about:

  • Your application status
  • New driver opportunities in your city
  • Promotional offers and incentives from Rovvo

You can stop WhatsApp messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. We stop sending within 48 hours and remove you from our WhatsApp list within 7 days.

Service-only WhatsApp

Even if you opted out of WhatsApp marketing, we may still reply to your own inbound WhatsApp messages to answer questions about your application. This is a response to you, not outbound marketing.

4. Revoking consent

You can withdraw either consent at any time:

5. What we record and why

When you opt in, we record the exact consent choice, the timestamp, and the source (the Meta Lead Ads form or WhatsApp conversation). This record lets us prove we had your permission if you, WhatsApp, or a regulator ever asks. We do not share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing.

6. Who sees your data

  • Our messaging infrastructure partners (WhatsApp Business Cloud API via Meta, our email service provider Resend) — they carry messages on our behalf under data-processing agreements.
  • The operator of the driver platform you applied to (Uber, in the current Rovvo program) — we pass your name, phone, and city so they can onboard you.
  • Our hosting and analytics providers (Supabase, Vercel, PostHog) — encrypted in transit and at rest.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it for ad targeting by third parties.

7. How long we keep it

Application data and consent records are retained for 3 years after your last interaction, then deleted. If your application was converted to an active driver account with a platform partner, that partner retains its own records on its own schedule — contact them for deletion.

8. Your rights

Under POPIA (South Africa), GDPR (EU/EEA), and Swiss DSG (Switzerland), you have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Correct it or ask us to delete it
  • Object to processing for marketing
  • Ask for a machine-readable export of the data you gave us
  • Lodge a complaint with your national regulator

Email privacy@akson.ch and we respond within 30 days.

9. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes (new data categories, new third parties) are announced to your consented channels before they take effect.

This policy is also reachable at leadgen.akson.ch/privacy.
